Performance metric evaluation of a nonlinear fractional order PID controller based on an extended state observer for permanent magnet synchronous motor speed control

This article examines the static and dynamic features of rising time, settling peak overshoot, value, time in a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) using nonlinear fractional-order PID controller (FOPIDC) based extended state observer (ESO). To discover improved speed control effectiveness sliding mode reaching phase, suggested adaptive super twisting NLFOPID technique was created utilizing an Adaptive Super Twisting Reaching Law (ASTRL) surface. Because ASTRL are present, phase may be assured lowest steady-state error, strong resilience, quick convergence, while chattering effect can decreased resulting high accuracy stability. An ESO is also built to provide feedback correction for external disturbances. By adjusting gains controller, this greatly enhanced PMSM drive's transient responsiveness. Simulation experiments MATLAB/SIMULINK confirm controller's resiliency efficacy driving scheme.
